Turnery
Privacy Policy
The short version. Turnery has no accounts and sends nothing about you to us. Your progress stays on your phone. If a version of the game shows ads, Google's ad service collects a small set of device data to serve and measure those ads, as described below.
1. Who we are
Turnery is a woodturning game for Android published by Friendly Ghost Ventures LLC, a Virginia limited liability company ("we", "us"). This policy explains what information the game handles and why. If you have a question, email bgrantmorrison@gmail.com.
2. What stays on your phone
Turnery saves the following on your device so the game remembers where you left off:
- Your progress: finished commissions, stars, coins earned in play, and the woods and tools you have unlocked.
- Your settings: sound, music and haptics, control choice, and tilt calibration.
This information never leaves your device and we cannot see it. Uninstalling Turnery, or clearing its storage in Android settings, deletes it.
If you choose tilt controls, the game reads your phone's motion sensors while you play to move the cutting tool. Those readings are used on the device in real time and are not stored or sent anywhere.
3. What we do not collect
Turnery does not ask for or collect your name, email address, phone number, contacts, photos, files, microphone, camera or precise location. There is no sign-in, no chat and no way to share content with other players. Coins and unlocks are earned by playing; the game has no in-app purchases.
4. Advertising
Some versions of Turnery show full-screen ads between finished pieces, served by Google AdMob. Nothing is shown on screen while you are turning. In a version with ads switched off, the ad service is not active and none of the data in this section is collected.
When ads are on, Google's Mobile Ads SDK, which is built into the game, automatically collects the following and sends it to Google:
| Data | What it is |
|---|---|
| IP address | Your device's network address, which can be used to estimate your general (not precise) location. |
| Device identifiers | Your Android advertising ID and app set ID. |
| Ad interactions | Events such as app launches, ads shown, and taps on ads. |
| Diagnostic information | Information about how the app and the ad SDK are performing, such as load times and errors. |
Google uses this data to show ads, measure how they perform, produce analytics, and prevent fraud and abuse. The data is encrypted in transit. We do not receive your advertising ID or IP address; we only see aggregate reports from AdMob. How Google handles this data is governed by Google's own policies:
We do not sell your personal information for money. Letting Google's ad service use your advertising ID to show ads may count as "sharing" or "targeted advertising" under some U.S. state privacy laws; see section 6 for how to turn it off.
5. Consent in Europe and the UK
If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, Turnery shows Google's consent message before any personalised ads are served, and you can choose non-personalised ads instead. You can change that choice later from the game's Settings menu.
6. Your choices
- Reset or delete your advertising ID. In your phone's Settings, open the Privacy or Google section and find Ads. There you can reset your advertising ID or delete it. Once deleted, apps receive a string of zeros instead of an ID. Menu names vary by phone and Android version.
- Turn off personalised ads across Google. Visit My Ad Center.
- Delete your game data. Uninstall Turnery, or clear its storage in Android settings.
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask what personal information a business holds about you, to ask for it to be deleted, or to opt out of targeted advertising. Because we hold no personal information about you, there is nothing for us to return or delete; requests about ad data are handled by Google through the links above. You are still welcome to contact us with any request and we will answer it.
7. Children
Turnery is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information through the game, contact us and we will help remove it.
8. Changes to this policy
If we change how Turnery handles information, we will update this page and its effective date. Significant changes will also be noted in the game's Google Play listing.
